Remove unsightly tree stumps and regain space in your garden...
Removing a tree stump is the final stage of permanent tree removal.
In many cases leaving the tree stump in the ground is not a problem, but removing it has the following benefits:
- It removes a trip hazard and an eye sore.
- Prevents root diseases and fungi appearing (e.g. the destructive Honey Fungus).
- Stops new shoots from growing out of the stump if the root system is still alive.
- The stump is ground out well below ground level, and in many cases the entire stump is removed making subsequent landscaping work much easier.
Stump grinding can be undertaken year round and causes minimal disruption to the surrounding ground surface.
If there is any risk to surrounding plants or lawn surface we will advise you prior to starting the work so you know exactly what to expect.
Access can be gained via a standard sized 3' garden gate and if that is not an option a fence panel and be temporarily removed to gain access.
After the stump has been ground down, the wood chippings are back filled into the hole where they rot and sink in.
